About Nyawira
Mũũgĩ wa Njata
I am Nyawira Wambũgũ, a spiritual consultant, astrologer, tarot reader and creator of the first Kikuyu tarot deck, Mũũgĩ wa Njata Tarot. My work is rooted in the meeting point between ancestral wisdom, spiritual intuition and cosmic insight, creating a space where guidance feels both deeply personal and spiritually grounded.
For me, divination is not simply about prediction. It is about understanding patterns, reconnecting with self and gaining clarity during moments of uncertainty, transition, love, grief, growth and transformation. Through tarot, astrology and ancestral reflection, I help clients explore the deeper energies shaping their lives and relationships with greater awareness and intention.
My journey into spiritual work grew from a deep connection to African spirituality, symbolism, intuition and the desire to create divination tools that felt culturally rooted and spiritually authentic. This vision eventually led me to create Mũũgĩ wa Njata Tarot, the first Kikuyu tarot deck designed to bridge traditional tarot practice with African-centered spiritual storytelling and ancestral consciousness.
Over the years, I have worked with clients from different parts of the world seeking clarity in relationships, purpose, spiritual alignment, relocation decisions, personal cycles and emotional healing. Every session I offer is approached with care, intentionality, discretion and respect for the spiritual journey each person carries.
Beyond readings, my work also focuses on spiritual education and mentorship through tarot and astrology courses designed to make divination accessible, grounded and transformative. Whether through private sessions, mentorship or spiritual study, my intention is always the same: to create a space where people feel seen, spiritually supported and more connected to themselves and their path.
